killamch89 Posted December 24, 2024 Posted December 24, 2024 Indie games are often packed with unique worlds and deep storytelling, despite smaller budgets. Whether it’s uncovering mysteries in Hollow Knight, diving into the haunting backstory of Inside, or exploring the philosophical depths of Disco Elysium, indie games often deliver unforgettable lore. Which indie game do you think has the most compelling, intricate, or emotional lore?
Scorpion Posted December 24, 2024 Posted December 24, 2024 "Disco Elysium" offers incredibly deep and emotional lore, blending unique storytelling with philosophical themes that resonate profoundly with players.
killamch89 Posted December 27, 2024 Author Posted December 27, 2024 For me, Hollow Knight has to be one of the most fascinating indie games in terms of lore. Its vast, interconnected world is rich with history, tragedy, and mystery, but much of it is left for players to piece together on their own. From the fall of Hallownest to the strange nature of the Pale King, it strikes a perfect balance of storytelling and discovery.
