killamch89 Posted January 9, 2025 Posted January 9, 2025 I’ve been exploring handheld gaming on PC, and I'm curious about what controller layouts others prefer. Do you stick with a traditional layout, or do you customize it to your liking? Are there any specific features you look for in a handheld controller to optimize your experience?
Scorpion Posted January 27, 2025 Posted January 27, 2025 I usually stick with a traditional layout, but I love customizing controls for better comfort. Ergonomics and battery life are key features!
killamch89 Posted February 6, 2025 Author Posted February 6, 2025 I generally stick with the default layout on my Steam Deck. It's pretty intuitive, and most games are designed with that layout in mind. I've tweaked a few things here and there, like swapping the A and B buttons for some games, but nothing major. I appreciate the trackpads for mouse-like input, though. They're a game-changer for some titles.
