What is the first video game you can recall playing?

'Duck Hunt' on the NES around 1990 remains my earliest gaming memory. The physical act of pointing the light gun at our boxy TV created a magical connection between action and outcome that my 5-year-old brain found revolutionary. I can still hear that mocking dog's laugh when I missed – probably my first experience with gaming frustration.

The first video game that I can recall playing was Run 2. It was a flash game, ran on a website called Cool Maths Games. Used to play during Mathematic classes as the teacher gave us permission to if we completed all of our actual math assignments.

Duck Hunt was the very first game I ever played, and there was nothing like putting a gun into the controller and shooting the screen. It wasn't Super Mario as many claimed.
