Do you prefer long-term, continuous development or games that have been essentially finalized?

Recommended Posts

Do you prefer engaging with games that are under long-term, continuous development, or do you favor titles that have been essentially finalized? What factors influence your preference, such as gameplay updates, community involvement, or the sense of completion? How do these aspects affect your overall gaming experience and enjoyment?

I've come to appreciate finalized, complete experiences more as I've gotten older. There's something satisfying about playing a game that was released as a cohesive artistic vision rather than an evolving platform. Elden Ring and God of War delivered complete experiences that respect my time.
