Evaluating third-party apps in VR involves considering usability, compatibility, and added value. I assess how these apps enhance immersion, interactivity, and social connections. Positive experiences often lead to a richer environment, while poor integrations can detract from the overall VR experience.

I evaluate third-party VR apps based on their performance overhead relative to functionality gained. Even brilliant applications that cause framerate drops or tracking glitches can destroy presence. I'll tolerate minor performance impacts only if the app provides essential functionality unavailable in the native ecosystem.
