killamch89
Nintendo handhelds have hosted everything from platformers and RPGs to racing and puzzle games, but some genres never quite found their footing. Could we use more strategy‑tactics titles, simulation experiences, or narrative‑driven visual novels on the Switch? What about hybrid genres like roguelike card builders or AR‑infused adventures perfectly suited to handheld play?
Scorpion
I think tactical RPGs and simulation games are still underexplored. While there are great examples, the handheld format seems perfect for deep, strategic experiences that don't require a large screen.
killamch89
Complex city-builders and management sims rarely got their due on Nintendo handhelds. Games like SimCity on SNES proved Nintendo players enjoy these experiences, but the genre largely skipped handhelds until Switch. Touch controls would have been perfect for precision placement and menu navigation.
