killamch89
From Super Smash Bros. on N64 to the latest Smash Ultimate, this series has morphed drastically with new fighters, stages, music, modes, and mechanics. Which single evolution stands out to you? Was it the introduction of Final Smash attacks, the Series’s explosive speed in Melee, the Roguelike “Challenger Approaching” unlock system, or the expanded roster and Spirits mode in Ultimate? How did that change elevate your play, both competitively and casually? Edited May 3 by killamch89
Scorpion
The expansion of the roster and stages across different Nintendo franchises is what I appreciate most. Each new character and location adds fresh strategic depth and celebrates the rich history of Nintendo's universe.
killamch89
The roster expansion isn't just about quantity - it's how they've maintained each character's unique feel while ensuring balanced gameplay. Going from 12 characters to over 80 while keeping distinct playstyles and competitive viability is an incredible design achievement that shouldn't be taken for granted.
