What handheld game made you appreciate Nintendo’s focus on innovative controls?

Nintendo handhelds have pushed creative control schemes - from the DS’s dual screens and stylus to the Wii U’s GamePad. But what handheld title first convinced you that Nintendo truly thinks outside the box? Was it Nintendogs with the touch‑based grooming, Kirby: Canvas Curse’s paintbrush navigation, or WarioWare: Touched!’s microgame madness?

Playing Nintendo’s "Legend of Zelda: Phantom Hourglass" on the DS really made me appreciate their focus on innovative controls. Using the stylus for puzzles and combat added a new, immersive layer to the experience that traditional controls couldn’t match.

The Legend of Zelda: Phantom Hourglass completely transformed how I viewed touch controls. Using the stylus to plot boomerang paths or solve puzzles by physically closing the DS made me realize Nintendo wasn't just adding gimmicks - they were creating new gameplay experiences that simply wouldn't work with traditional controls.
