How do you feel about mobile games that incorporate real-world landmarks or locations?

From Pokémon GO’s Gyms at local monuments to Ingress portals in historical sites, how do you feel about AR experiences that map to real-world landmarks? Does visiting a famous statue or art piece boost immersion, or do you find it gimmicky when developers slap a virtual layer over tourist traps? Have you discovered hidden gems in your city thanks to a quest marker? Which titles strike the perfect balance between fiction and location-based exploration?

I find mobile games that incorporate real-world landmarks really exciting. They make the experience more immersive and educational, allowing players to explore famous places virtually. It’s a fun way to learn about different locations while gaming, blending entertainment with a bit of travel inspiration. I enjoy games that bring the world closer.

Pokémon GO's integration with real landmarks encouraged me to explore my city's history in ways I never would have otherwise. Discovering that a random statue was actually a Civil War memorial because of a Pokéstop made gaming educational and culturally enriching.
