Kane99
Source - https://twistedvoxel.com/street-fighter-6-on-nintendo-switch-2-uses-expiring-dlc-code-and-game-key-card-format/ We're getting even closer to a day where physical media will be a thing of the past. Street Fighter 6 on the upcoming Nintendo Switch 2 will be using the game-key card format. Which means you get a license to play the game on the cart rather than the actual game itself. You will need to download the game, which means you need an internet connection in order to download it. As well, The year 1 and 2 DLC codes that come with the game will expire in 2 years. Leaving a lot of the game out if you plan to resell it. But I think that's kind of normal with games these days. But the issue I have is a lot of games going down this route of releasing a cart with just a license. I'm sure it's happening on the PS5 and Xbox Series XS as in they are releasing just the license on the disc. But, I do hear you can resell these game if you want. The only downside is that once the servers are down for these games, there's probably no other way to download the actual game files, rendering many carts useless after a certain point.
