killamch89 Posted June 7, 2025 Posted June 7, 2025 Moral decision-making in games can add unparalleled depth, and the PS2 era saw some pioneers. Whether it was weighing your honor in an RPG or making split-second calls in an action-adventure, these mechanics forced us to consider the consequences of our actions. For me, one memorable system tracked my every choice, altering NPC reactions and even the ending. Which PS2 title’s ethical framework captivated you the most? How nuanced were the decisions, and did they truly feel like moral dilemmas rather than binary options?
Scorpion Posted June 17, 2025 Posted June 17, 2025 One of my favorite PS2 games with an ethical choice mechanic is "Kingdom Hearts." Making decisions in the game influenced character relationships and story outcomes, adding depth and replayability. I enjoyed how these choices shaped the narrative and made the experience more personal.
killamch89 Posted June 20, 2025 Author Posted June 20, 2025 Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic's light/dark side system was brilliant because your choices affected not just story outcomes but your actual abilities and appearance. Seeing your character's face change based on your morality was haunting.
