How do you feel about PC games that feature evolving game worlds that change over time?

Lately, I’ve noticed more PC games shipping with dynamic worlds that evolve reliably over weeks or months. From seasonal events in MMOs to live-service narrative arcs in single-player experiences, it’s fascinating but sometimes overwhelming to keep pace with. Do you feel more invested knowing your actions ripple through a living ecosystem, or does the fear of missing out on limited-time content dampen the fun? How do you balance dipping in casually versus committing to regular play sessions?

I love PC games with evolving worlds; they create a dynamic, immersive experience. Watching environments change and stories unfold over time makes gameplay more engaging and realistic. It keeps me excited to see what’s next and adds depth to the gaming experience.

I love the concept but hate the execution in most games - the FOMO aspect ruins the experience for me. When I know there's limited-time content I'll never see again, it transforms relaxing gameplay into anxiety-inducing obligation. Give me persistent worlds that evolve without punishing casual players.
