killamch89 Posted June 10, 2025 Posted June 10, 2025 I was revisiting some classic PlayStation titles and stumbled upon a game that left me absolutely speechless with its final scene. You know the ones: characters poised on the verge of revelation, a sudden cut to black, and the faintest hint of “To Be Continued.” I’m curious - what PS1 game do you think nailed the art of the unresolved ending? Was it a dramatic plot twist, an unanswered question about the world’s fate, or a character’s destiny hanging in the balance?
Scorpion Posted June 18, 2025 Posted June 18, 2025 For me, the perfect cliffhanger belongs to Metal Gear Solid. The ending, with Revolver Ocelot's phone call revealing Liquid Snake's true identity and the Patriots' manipulation, left me utterly stunned. It perfectly set the stage for future sequels, leaving so many tantalizing questions!
killamch89 Posted June 20, 2025 Author Posted June 20, 2025 Legacy of Kain: Blood Omen's ending completely recontextualized everything you thought you knew about the story - that final revelation made you immediately want to replay with new understanding.
