killamch89 Posted June 14, 2025 Posted June 14, 2025 I’ve been revisiting some PS1 accessories lately and can’t help but admire certain designs more than others. Which PS1 accessory’s form factor still makes you go “wow” today? For me, the DualShock controller’s comfortable contours and textured grips set a new standard, and the neat little memory card fit perfectly into that slim slot. But then there’s the multitap - bulky but ingenious, expanding multiplayer possibilities without mangling cables. What about you? Share your favorite PS1 peripheral, whether it’s a sleek controller, an innovative multitap, or some third‑party gizmo that still impresses with its ergonomics and build quality.
Scorpion Posted June 19, 2025 Posted June 19, 2025 I still admire the PS1 DualShock controller's form factor. Its revolutionary ergonomic design, incorporating dual analog sticks and rumble, set the standard for generations of controllers. It was perfectly balanced and intuitive, a true classic that influenced gaming forever.
killamch89 Posted June 19, 2025 Author Posted June 19, 2025 PS1 memory cards achieved perfect minimalist design - the compact rectangular form factor with clear labeling slots fit seamlessly into the console while being small enough for easy transport and storage. The simplicity and reliability of the physical connection method contrasts favorably with today's complex cloud save systems.
