killamch89 Posted June 14, 2025 Posted June 14, 2025 Dreamcast had some unforgettable narratives - if you could revisit one in VR, which would it be? Would you wander the streets of “Shenmue’s” Yokosuka, dive into the neon underworld of “Rez,” or explore the dystopian world of “Jet Set Radio”? Explain why that storyline and world design would benefit from immersive VR exploration with interaction depth, environmental storytelling, or emotional resonance. Would you want full NPC dialogue, motion‑captured animations, or recreations of classic minigames?
Scorpion Posted June 14, 2025 Posted June 14, 2025 I’d love to revisit Shenmue in VR. Its rich, immersive storyline, detailed world, and compelling characters would be incredible to experience firsthand. Walking through Yokosuka and reliving Ryo’s quest in a virtual environment would bring the story to life like never before.
killamch89 Posted June 16, 2025 Author Posted June 16, 2025 Shenmue would be absolutely incredible in VR! Walking through Yokosuka and actually performing the QTE sequences with hand gestures would create such an immersive experience. The forklift driving sections alone would be worth it.
