killamch89 Posted June 16, 2025 Posted June 16, 2025 Back in the PSP era, the UMD photo viewer let you load up to 999 JPEGs which was impressive for a handheld then. You could zoom, pan, even create slide shows with background music. Did you ever use your PSP as a photo album on the go, or was the process of converting and copying files too cumbersome? How did image quality compare to your phone’s screen at the time? Would you like a modern handheld to prioritize flexible media playback, or are dedicated media tablets now the only way?
Scorpion Posted June 19, 2025 Posted June 19, 2025 The PSP's photo viewing capabilities were surprisingly good for its time! The bright, widescreen display really made photos pop, and features like slideshows and even the ability to set custom wallpapers were a nice touch. Definitely a step up from basic phone screens back then.
killamch89 Posted June 19, 2025 Author Posted June 19, 2025 The PSP's photo viewer was genuinely impressive for its time - having 999 photos in your pocket with zoom and slideshow capabilities felt futuristic when most phones had terrible cameras and tiny screens. I absolutely used mine as a portable photo album, especially for showing vacation pictures to friends and family.
