It wouldn't surprise me if other companies began to pick up on it (in fact, I'd be surprised if they didn't) but if I were them, I'd wait to see how Google does, the main issues, etc. before working on something of my own. But yeah I am sure someone will make stadia type thing in open source and things would pick up really quicker and faster as it is browser based.
