NBA 2K21 Draft Packs Feature Rookies Anthony Edwards, LaMelo Ball, and More in MyTeam
On NBA Draft Day 2020, teams around the league selected players who could become future stars. They included top prospects like Anthony Edwards, James Wiseman, and LaMelo Ball, who went as the top three picks, respectively. In honor of their arrival, a new NBA 2K21 Draft promotion arrived featuring several of the past and present rookies.
NBA 2K21 Draft packs feature rookies of past and present
The new NBA 2K21 MyTeam Draft packs bring rookies of the past including Ben Simmons, Luka Doncic, Brandon Ingram, Glenn Robinson, and Anthony Davis. However, the packs also feature the debut of 12 brand new rookies for the game mode.
They’ll include the top three picks as mentioned. Anthony Edwards of the Minnesota Timberwolves, James Wiseman of the Golden State Warriors, and LaMelo Ball of the Charlotte Hornets. 2K rolled out the following trailer video for the new promotion.
As the draft was going on, NBA 2K21 showed off the new players’ key attributes. For example, No. 1 pick Anthony Edwards has 89 Speed, 83 Driving Layup, and an 81 mid-range attribute. James Wiseman has 85 Offensive Rebounding, 80 Blocking, and 82 Shot Close range. LaMelo Ball brings an 86 for Ball Control, 86 Pass IQ, and 83 Pass Vision.
The new rookie players each have special Evo cards, meaning they’ll begin as one level, such as Emerald and can evolve up to a Diamond or Pink Diamond. That will require progressing them through various in-game tasks or goals, such as scoring a certain amount of points.

Pack and card prices, new Locker code
The NBA 2K21 Draft Base packs sell for 11,250 Virtual Currency or 10,500 MT. There’s also a Deluxe Pack for 15,000 VC or 17,250 MT. In addition, gamers can pick up a 10-pack Deluxe Box for 135,000 VC.

In terms of Auction House listings, Anthony Davis card prices have topped 160,000 MT on PS4. Ben Simmons and Brandon Ingram also have 100,000 MT listings. It’ll be interesting to see where some of the rookies’ card prices end up, as LaMelo Ball was up to 42,000 MT with two hours to go on the auction.
Along with the NBA 2K21 MyTeam Draft packs promotion, 2K handed out a free Locker Code. By entering the code into MyTeam or the NBA 2K21 app, gamers will get a guaranteed 2020 NBA Rookie EVO card.
