How to Complete the Fallout 76 Novice of Mysteries Side Quest
Now that you’re a fully-fledged member of the Order of Mysteries and no longer an initiate, you need to acquire the appropriate paraphernalia. You should get the Fallout 76 Novice of Mysteries side quest immediately after completing the Initiate of Mysteries quest. At the end of that quest, you’ll receive a holotape called the “Order of Mysteries – Rank: Novice Holotape”; simply listen to this to start the Novice of Mysteries quest.
This quest requires you to get your hands on three different items, and you can tackle them in any order. The three items in question are the Blade of Bastet, Phantom Device, and Voice of Set. After completing the Initiate of Mysteries quest, you should be able to use the Fabricator in the secret base beneath the Riverside Manor to produce a Garb of Mysteries; be sure to do so before starting this quest!
After listening to the holotape, use the secret base Terminal and select the “Mission Board” topic. This will provide you with options for each of the three items. Selecting each of these will provide you with a new quest, and each one ends with you crafting the missing item. These are Chasing Shadows, Forging a Legend, and Prototypical Problems. These quests can be done in any order. Once you have done all three and obtained the three items, you can return to Cryptos in the Riverside Manor to earn your next promotion.
