Battlefield 5 Update Will Improve the Revive Mechanics

The next Battlefield 5 update is due to come out on the 4th of December; the same day as the release of the game’s first Tides of War post-launch content update. Although DICE has given fans some idea of what to expect in the update, we now have some new details thanks to Florian Le Bihan, the game’s Core Gameplay Designer. According to Le Bihan, the update will bring improvements to the revive mechanics.

Revival Mechanic Changes Coming in the Next Battlefield 5 Update

Writing on Twitter, Le Bihan gave some details which will apparently appear in the upcoming patch notes; “Reviving is getting a bunch of bug fixes,” he says; “that include much faster input recovery when going out of the revive (for both players), a fix for players getting propelled forward when coming back to life and the body moving up and down when dead on uneven terrain.”

On the subject of uneven terrain, he also went on to clarify another issue; “There is an issue where going ADS and moving on uneven terrain at the same time could often kick you out of ADS” he explains; “(much more frequently when using the “Custom Stock” specialisation that increased movement speed while ADS). This issue has been fixed!”

Battlefield 5 Tides of War Update

In addition to the Battlefield 5 update, DICE is also launching the first Tides of War chapter on the 4th of December. That upcoming update will add the fourth and final War Story to the game; The Last Tiger. Additionally, the first chapter of Tides of War will add the new Panzerstorm map, as well as the Practice Range game mode. Finally, it will bring vehicle cosmetic customisation options to the game’s Company options too. Other major content for the game, such as the Firestorm Battle Royale mode, will come in later chapters during 2019.
