  1. I think I miss the simplicity of the older games, don't get me wrong the visuals and in-depth levels that modern day games go to is something to behold and they really have come on massively since first gen consoles but along the way the controls have become way complicated to do even the simplest of things in some games. Something that before required one button now requires several and to be pushed in a precise order.
  2. Cities:Skylines and Farming Simulator 19, it's not exactly going to blow your socks off but they are totally free and the last few months the free games have been pretty decent titles, look at last month with the whole Nathan Drake series of Uncharted. I have to say having played the Cities Skylines on the PC, the PS4 version is pretty bare bones and really not all that great to play so I was a bit dissapointed.
  3. I feel like with the recent decline in E3 over the years it's possibly heading for the end of it's run, it just doesn't seem to have the same draw to it anymore, the last couple really haven't been good. It might have been saved this year (if it wasn't cancelled) with the release of the PS5 and new Xbox consoles as they would be a big draw and major talking point but I just don't see it lasting much longer now.
  4. I think in the current worldwide situation we need to come to terms with the fact there are going to be game delays. As long as they use the time wisely and continue development on the game and remove bugs then I don't mind them being delayed as long as the delays don't run into years.
  5. What kind of game is this, is it action, exploring, driving or just a mix of everything? How long on average does it take someone to complete, I like games that last longer than a few hours of solid gameplay but I also don't want it to last for months either as I'll lose interest.
  6. On the Steam store just now every single Star Wars game has a discount on it as far as I can tell, this is being done as part of a 'May the 4th be with you' deal. I found a great game I used to play years ago on PC called Star Wars Episode 1 Pod Racing, it was only £1.97 in the steam sale and purely for the nostalgia alone I bought it and have no regrets. There are a lot of star wars games down to around that price just now so if you are a fan I'd highly recommend getting a bargain just now.
  7. I've recently started playing Star Trek Fleet Command which is a free game (with in game purchases available) available on the app store. For my first few days of playing I thought the cut scenes and interactions were really good, there was plenty to do, it was really well themed with star trek and it was a good way to pass an hour or so a day. As I've started to climb the levels the game has increased in difficulty (as is to be expected) and has become rather repetitive, its the same daily grind every day to get the items you need to make your next upgrade which takes days now and not the minutes/hours it used to take. Does anyone else have experience of playing this?
  8. This title came as a bit of an unexpected shock back at the last E3 event - the classic flight simulator is getting a major overhaul and reboot. It is planned to launch on PC first followed by Xbox and is rumoured to be included with the xbox game pass. I have to say having seen some of the alpha gameplay and trailer footage, the visuals on this game look absolutely stunning and highly realistic, blowing it's closest competition out of the water. It is slated for release sometime later on in 2020. Is anyone else quite excited to see how this game turns out?
