Sega hosted a real style funeral/wake for Yakuza and Like a Dragon characters who have died in the franchises history. Would you attend an event like this if it had to do with one of your favorite games? You can even leave a flower for your favorite characters. This event is running from Dec 30th to Jan 15th in Ikebukuro, Tokyo and Nagoya from January 20 to February 4 and Sapporo from February 16 to 25. I doubt they would do something like this in the states.
