They pack powerful hardware into compact, portable designs, but I’m concerned about long-term wear and tear. Have you used one of these devices for extended periods? How do they hold up against everyday drops, heat, or stress from heavy gaming sessions? Are they built to last, or do they feel fragile?

killamch89 Posted February 6, 2025 Author Posted February 6, 2025 I've had my Steam Deck for over a year now, and I've been really impressed with its durability. I've taken it on trips, used it for hours every day, and even accidentally dropped it a couple of times. It's held up surprisingly well. The build quality feels solid, and while I wouldn't recommend throwing it around, it definitely feels like it can withstand everyday wear and tear. To be fair though, I do have a case on mine most of the time because they do cost quite a bit to replace.
