Do you still buy games despite having a backlog? Why?

Do you continue purchasing games even though you have a backlog? What motivates you to acquire new titles? Is it the excitement of new releases, the fear of missing out, or perhaps a specific genre you enjoy? I’d be interested in hearing your reasons for adding to your collection!

Yes, I continue buying new games even with a growing backlog because each new release offers unique experiences and innovative gameplay mechanics that inspire me to eventually clear my collection and try something different.

No. If I have a backlog of video games to get through, why would I spend money buying more titles? Those games will still be there once I’ve completed my current ones, so I tend to work through what I’ve got infront of me first.

Sure, I do buy games from time to time even though my backlog never gets shorter. 🤣 How dumb would it be to miss a new game. 🤣 So, I do this often, even if such game will be waiting in line forever to be played.
