The legal maneuvering to influence legislation would require compartmentalizing my personal ethics too severely. While skilled advocacy certainly has legitimate purposes, the prospect of using persuasive talents to secure regulatory advantages rather than advancing genuine public good would leave me fundamentally unfulfilled.
