How do you compare the ergonomic design of modern Nintendo controllers with older models?

Classic NES pads were simple rectangles; today’s Switch Pro controllers boast sculpted grips and adaptive triggers. How do you compare modern Nintendo controller ergonomics to their predecessors? Does the added comfort of the Joy-Con grips and HD Rumble justify the extra heft, or do you miss the nostalgic flatness of older models?

Modern Nintendo controllers generally feature improved ergonomic design, offering better grip and comfort for longer play sessions. Older models may feel less comfortable or less suited to different hand sizes. Overall, newer controllers prioritize user comfort and enhanced control, making gaming more enjoyable and reducing fatigue.

I appreciate the precision of modern analog sticks and triggers, but there's something satisfying about the tactile click of original NES buttons that HD Rumble can't replicate. Both have their place for different gaming experiences.
