I’m curious: which Dreamcast online title are you still able to connect to today? Whether it’s a fan-run lobby for Phantasy Star Online, a multiplayer session in Quake III Arena, or something more obscure, share your experiences. What steps did you take to get it working - custom DNS, proxy servers, or patched ISOs? And how’s the player count?
Scorpion Posted June 20, 2025 Posted June 20, 2025 Thanks to dedicated fans and services like Dreamcast Live, many titles are still playable online! Phantasy Star Online is a big one, along with Quake III Arena, ChuChu Rocket!, and surprisingly, recently revived titles like the Aero Dancing series and Outtrigger.
killamch89 Posted June 21, 2025 Author Posted June 21, 2025 PSO Blue Burst still has fan servers running strong - the community has kept Phantasy Star Online alive with private servers that work perfectly with original Dreamcast hardware.
