killamch89 Posted June 20, 2025 Posted June 20, 2025 RPGs on the original PlayStation brought us unforgettable narratives, characters, and climactic finales. After all these years, certain endings still tug at the heartstrings whenever we think back. Whether it’s a bittersweet farewell, a heroic sacrifice, or a twist that changes everything, those final moments stick with you. For me, the conclusion of Xenogears hit hard, but I’m curious what ending from a PS1 RPG still leaves you misty-eyed. Was it the character epilogues in Final Fantasy IX? The melancholy resolution of Valkyrie Profile? Or something more obscure?
Scorpion Posted June 28, 2025 Posted June 28, 2025 The ending of "Final Fantasy VII" still moves me emotionally. The powerful story, characters’ sacrifices, and emotional farewell left a lasting impact. It’s a bittersweet ending that reminds me of the importance of friendship, courage, and hope.
killamch89 Posted July 3, 2025 Author Posted July 3, 2025 The ending of Xenogears hits hard because of how it handles the theme of sacrifice and the cyclical nature of conflict. Fei and Elly's relationship transcending multiple incarnations and the way their love story concludes despite all the cosmic-level chaos still makes me emotional decades later.
