  2. My longest PS4 play session was about 8 hours straight during a weekend marathon. It was intense, playing through a story-rich game like The Last of Us Part II. I barely took breaks, fully immersed in the experience from start to finish.
  3. One PS5 game that nails teleportation mechanics is **Demon's Souls**. Its instant and seamless teleportation system enhances exploration and immersion, allowing players to quickly traverse the challenging environments while maintaining the game's atmospheric tension and flow.
  4. I accidentally discovered the codec frequency 140.85 for Meryl during my first playthrough. It was a surprising find, and it added an extra layer of immersion, making me feel more connected to the characters and the game's world.
  5. Metal Gear Solid 1’s use of limited ammo and resources created a tense, strategic atmosphere. It forced players to carefully plan each encounter, emphasizing survival and caution. This design choice heightened suspense and made every decision feel more impactful and immersive.
  6. I believe Crash Bandicoot: Warped features some of the most challenging level designs. Its diverse environments and tricky platforming sections push players’ skills to the limit, making it both frustrating and rewarding. It really tests your reflexes and perseverance.
  7. I think Crash Bandicoot 4: It’s About Time did a great job honoring the legacy of the originals. It modernized the gameplay while maintaining the classic’s challenging platforming and charm. Overall, it’s a worthy addition that appeals to both old fans and newcomers.
  8. I believe Crash Bandicoot: Warped has some of the most challenging level designs. Its diverse environments and tricky platforming sections really test players’ skills and timing. The game’s difficulty keeps it exciting and rewarding for those who love a tough challenge.
  9. Yes, I did collect PS1 promotional posters. I find them fascinating as they capture the early days of gaming and evoke nostalgic memories. It’s a great way to appreciate the history and artistry behind the PlayStation brand.

  11. A fan made Halo game called Spartan Survivors is getting the go-ahead from Halo Studios to keep working on the game. The game is said to be a bullet heaven roguelike in the Halo universe. You can play the game on Ichi io right now if you want, which you can find here - https://juanggz.itch.io/spartan-survivors And it seems to be free to play, so even better. You can find more on this news here: https://www.pcguide.com/news/halo-studios-gives-spartan-survivors-their-blessing/
  12. Project Motor Racing is an upcoming racing sim from the people at Straight4 Studios, and has a planned release this November. You can find out more details on the game on their website here - https://projectmotorracing.com/index.php It will release on PS5, Xbox Series X|S and PC November 25th.
  13. I tend to agree, except when FPS games change to third person in cutscenes. I love being able to personalize my characters, either through gear you aquire through the game, or purely cosmetic outfits. One of my pet peeves are loot-based RPGs where the gear you equip only change your stats, not your appearance.

  15. The Steam summer sale started yesterday and will run until the 10th of july. Have you bought anything? Anything from your wish list you are planning on buying?
  16. Chronicles of the Wolf is an new metroidvania style adventure game from Migami Games. It looks to be heavily inspired by Castlevania. It's available on PC (via Steam), Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and the Switch.
  17. Physical media seems on its way out, and it looks like Xbox is already abandoning physical media themselves. A while ago it was rumored that Xbox was going to stop producing physical games for sale, and it looks like that may actually be starting to come true. The new game Cronos: The New Dawn from Bloober Team will not have a physical release on Xbox Series X|S, but it will have a physical release fry Skybound on the PS5. This news is where they are speculating that Xbox is skipping out on physical media. If we end up seeing something like GTA VI released digital only on Xbox, than we can confirm than that it's official. What do you think of this? You can read about this news here - https://tech4gamers.com/xbox-fully-abandoned-physical-media/ Do you think this is a sign Xbox is skipping out on physical media? Or maybe they will only focus on special releases?
  18. Not really obscure any more, but I think the small indie game Vampire Survivors made a huge impact on the industry. After the huge success of Vampire Survivors, survivor-likes have become it's own genre, and there are a thousand different survivor-games on Steam now.
  19. I was honestly quite surprised when I saw the announcement, I did not think this game would get a sequel after the whole Justin Roiland-debacle. I'm glad it's happening though, it looks very fun from the trailer. I didn't play through all of the first one, but I did enjoy what I played.
  20. Cave Crave Updates! Hellsweeper: The Reckoning Update (DLC) Phasmophobia: Chronicle (DLC)
  21. New Releases and Kick Ass DLC!! VRider SBK Undead Citadel American Truck Simulator (could be a scam game)

  23. And so it begins yet again. Microsoft is said to be planning what is said to be a "major" round of layoffs next week. Not only that, they are said to be doing layoffs and job cuts for other parts of their business. Why is it a company so wealthy has to fire so many people? I just don't get it. The main cuts look to be coming from the Xbox gaming business side of things. It's sad seeing a company that continued to make deals and products, yet they continually have to layoff their employees to make it by. That doesn't sound sustainable to me. But, at this point in the gaming industry, it's just another day. Source - https://www.theverge.com/microsoft-xbox/691967/microsoft-xbox-layoffs-job-cuts-rumor
  24. Source - https://www.msn.com/en-us/lifestyle/shopping/meta-launches-a-limited-edition-xbox-themed-vr-headset/ar-AA1HkHTS Xbox now has their own VR headset, well sort of, as they've teamed up with Meta to make the Meta Quest 3S Xbox Edition VR headset, but it looks to be a limited release sort of thing. It will come with a Meta Quest 3S that is all black and has an Xbox themed look. It will come with its standard controllers, but also a limited edition Xbox controller along with 3 months of Xbox Gamepass ultimate. You do not need an Xbox console either, as you can play games via Gamepass. All games available for the gameplass can be played through the cloud on Meta Quest 3S. But, with this being a limited release, once stock is gone, it's gone for good. But, with it having access to Gamepass, I wonder if I could get a regular Meta Quest 3S and just get Gamepass whenever. If that's the case, I wouldn't mind just getting a standard Quest instead, but for those who do want to get this limited edition quest, you can find the shop page here - https://www.meta.com/quest/quest-3s/buy-xbox-edition/
