  1. I think it still is, I somehow still see TV ads for them when I view shows on Sling/Hulu - so not sure if their targeting is more precise now or what. I can only imagine though how many people really can beat a game within the timeframe they give you. It's a good concept, but in reality might be good for someone who just plays singleplayer games from start to finish and then never wants to play it again.

  2. I think it was a tied between Burnout and Midnight Club - I just can't recall which one I did first. Definitely was an amazing feeling seeing everything unlocked, like all levels and all of the vehicles. I can't remember which year I did it though sadly.

  3. I mostly try to stick to people near my level, unless I have specific played the game enough and know it's concept, to try to attack someone that is far above my level (who I know I could have a good chance at winning). I've never really targeted people below me, unless, well they attack me first.

  4. I probably have yet to finish this game due to me just playing others, and always seemingly coming back and forgetting a bunch of the controls/gameplay style. I don't think that it's boring or that the story is too long (when we compare other games like Skyrim that seemingly have no ending), but I think that it does take someone in a specific mindset to want to play it for hours on end.

I mean in regards to like drive in movie theaters. Where you bring your car, and that essentially where you also watch the movie from. In this case, people would have to play games from their cars.

I figure this way, it'll help with social distancing measures, and you won't be so close to people. I could see it working if they do it right.

Ah - my bad, I understood the topic wrongly.

Still, I think they would have to provide some type of controller or setup so you could be linked uniquely into the game - unless you mean that you would also bring all of your gear, and then link up via a local WiFi network everyone would use? Would be interesting, although not sure how many traction it would gain with people who have huge setups or want to play games that aren't ideal in a car (racing games, for example).

  6. Path of Exile is a pretty solid game, the only issue is you really need to know what type of character you want and build them out with the node path the right way - otherwise you end up with a character that sucks PvP and can only really be used in PvE gameplay.

It's cool that they are even on PS/Xbox now, when I played it back in the day it was barely gaining popularity and only was on the PC.

  7. Arc is a pretty good game, although I feel like Microsoft may actually add a story mode or sometime of similar aspect since the current one kind of doesn't have that. We'll see though if they give up the exclusive-ness a few months/year after it has been released, since a few games have done that more so recently than ever.

  8. Biggest problem is what can they make that feels unique, or feels more like a Rockstar game than others out there? We don't really see to many games directly compete with GTA due to it's unique scale and experience, but other genres are packed so it can be hard to tell someone to use Rockstar's version vs. another.

I'd love the idea, but I think they are too focused on the games they have now to really make a brand new game in a brand new genre.

  9. I would say relaxing as long as you don't get onto worlds that have things that want to kill you every so often, or worlds that your suit is always in a danger setting. Otherwise it is just a ton of grinding for resources so you can even roam around before you get killed off.

  10. I would avoid using the MS Store - it was only added to become a tablet like app/game experience with Windows 8, which is why it runs and feels so off on a desktop. Definitely would try using third party stores since I've had a few games disappear that I can't find, but MS Store says is installed after updates.

  11. I like online games the most, although I love the way that Death Stranding did a combo mode so that online people really only help your gameplay while offline can still be fun without it being so tasking. Plus, it saves your online copy offline so you still see the things you would online when you are offline and not able to connect.

  12. No, because CPU and GPU technology moves pretty fast, so in order for them to display the best image and have the most going on during gameplay, there will need to be new hardware added every few years.

Only reason why OS can do this is because they can adapt things over time, however hardware cannot change without being replaced on it's own (so they could use the same GUI as the PS5 - but still unlikely).

  13. Almost all of the free games are doing it to boost their userbase, and they also have paid items in their store or a way to bring you into the game more (DLC, newer release, series for sale, etc.). So Epic is just the storefront that lets the publishers put a game on "FREE" but really make more money overall in the end.
