Compare gaming to other mainstream hobbies like golf, restoring cars, fishing, collecting, model railways and so on, it isn't that bad. It a fact of all hobbies that it the expense only makes sense to the person engaging with said hobby. Hobbies aren't t something you think through with your head, you think it through with your heart because you love doing it, and who can explain love? It's inherently illogical, but that's never the point.

Yes, this was what I was going to mention! I played a lot of sports as a kid and it was so expensive to purchase all the equipment and join leagues. With sports there is also a physical barrier/limit but with gaming, there is no defined limit when it comes to increasing your skills! Not saying that gaming is necessarily better than sports but just that the cost of gaming is not that bad in my opinion.

Ff9 was a bit too cartoony for me. I mean Amarant Coral just looks like a giant chicken. Seriously? WTF? I have FFX/X2 but haven’t really gotten into them yet. One of the most attractive things about them is that X2 was the first true sequel in the series. I like that a lot.

You have FFX but have not played!? You totally should 😝. I love that game so much haha, I guarantee you will not be disappointed!

  3. I really like both. PVP games like World of Warcraft or Rocket League are very fun for me but I also enjoy playing PVE games such as Final Fantasy or Pokemon. I do find PVE games have much more of a relaxing vibe though.

  4. I like puzzles that are challenging but not unsolvable. For example, I have played games where you must know something very specific in order to solve the puzzle and that just makes it impossible without some sort of guide or prior knowledge.

Often times I find mobile puzzle games fun because sometimes the levels are hard but with some luck and persistence you are usually able to complete the level.

  5. Final Fantasy X is like one of my favourite games ever and I am thinking of busting out the PS2 to replay it but I am wondering if you have any favourite versions that you loved. Maybe I'll choose one of your favourites to play instead of FFX if you can convince me 😁.

They get early review copies. I thought this was common knowledge. Which actually is a segue into one of my pet peeves. That I often feel left out and ignored as a gamer, while so called reviewers get all the goodies and attention. Like early access, behind the scenes looks, gift boxes, exclusive merchandize  etc. I feel like a second class citizen fighting for their scraps.

The feeling of being a second-class citizen is so true! But hey sometimes it is nice to know if a game is bad or good before you commit the time and money into it right?

  7. When real life gets stressful I love to kick back and game. It's just such a great way to relax and forget about your issues for a little while. After a great gaming session, it's like you are refreshed and ready to tackle your real-life problems again. Sometimes all you need is a little break to do something you really enjoy.

Also, I've found that games can be a great way to connect with your loved ones. Especially during this pandemic. It is very easy to start up a Pictionary-style game virtually and play with your friends and family online.

  8. Does anyone here play Riot's Teamfight Tactics? As of today, April 28. 2021, set 5 is now live! I'm hoping to hear what you all think about the new champions and items in the game.

Personally I am loving how they managed to make it possible to create so many different team comps. I know it is going to take me a while to get used to all the new features. Keep me updated with how you are liking the game as you continue playing!
