I totally forgot about Inside - behind its somewhat cartoony appearance is a rather deep story. I haven't played any of the Bioshock games yet but Bioshock Infinite is always mentioned whenever the topic of philosophical games arise.

Inside’s story is brilliant because it’s very “Show Don’t Tell”. Meaning there’s very little narrative exposition. It’s mostly environmental storytelling where you have to put the jigsaw pieces together yourself. Much like Bioshock, really. (You should definitely check out Bioshock at some point, dude!)

I say it can be very impoertant depending on the game, I mean in Valheim  you have to get heads trophies 😛 then again that's that game. But like I said depends on the game to the point that yes it can be a wast or not. I mean it's like achievements, some want it, others do not care and see it's pointless.

All platinums are pretty different, yeah. Oh, and I do think achievements are cool too. I quite like getting trophies and cheevs.

It really depends on the game - In some games those trophies may vital to your progression while in others, it serves as more of an afterthought. I don't mind achievements at all but I primarily play games to enjoy the experience nowadays.

Yeah, I can see myself going that way one day. These days, I sometimes look at a trophy list before playing the game, which is probably not a great thing due to spoilers etc. That said, if a game is really good and doesn’t have trophies, I still would happily play it. It just depends from game to game.

Why the hell didn't they do that in The Walking Dead? They are near Atlanta after all. Just load up in a bus, drive to the biggest marina on the coast that they can find, steal the biggest yacht they can get, and get the hell out in the ocean. Just a couple miles from the coast would be enough. Problem solved. But then, people typically don't consider the holes in their stories until someone else points them out. And by then it's too late to consider that option. Luckily I have read and reread my stories, and received constructive criticism from some friends (I can't believe I said "friends" in a positive way) and so far no holes have been noticed in my stories. One book is on its 8th draft, and the other is on its 7th. The shorts I didn't really count the drafts they're on for some misbegotten reason.

Funnily enough, a portion of Fear The Walking Dead - a Walking Dead offshoot show - takes place on a boat. It’s not that great and I sort of lost interest after the first couple of seasons, but it did do try the whole “jump on a boat and get the hell out of here schtick”.

  4. Got to be The Empire Strikes Back, with The Return Of the Jedi a close second. Personally, I loved The Last Jedi. Pretty controversial take, I know. But it really is an excellent film. For me, it makes Luke Skywalker an even more interesting character than he ever was. But each their own, I guess.
