  1. Finished the first two seasons of Cobra Kai and absolutely loved it! It’s basically a continuation of the Karate Kid classic movies from the 80s. Nostalgia done right imho. Anyone else checked it out yet? It’s on Netflix now.
  2. Was thinking lately that a boat would be a pretty good option. Stock up on food, fishing supplies and video games, and you got yourself a mini holiday!
  3. I’d love to see some classic Bethesda RPGs get new updates. Oblivion, Skyrim, Fallout 3, Fallout: NV or Fallout 4 would really benefit with a modern update adding new quests, locations, monsters, weapons, spells and even some simple quality of life improvements (quicker load times, for example). I know, mods can do this, but it would be nice to see something official.
  4. Best of luck with your studies, dude!
  5. Sonic The Hedgehog - 7/10
  6. Tony Hawk's recent remasters are on my to-buy list! Looking forward to picking it up. Been waiting for a good skateboarding game for a while now. 🙂
  7. Kingdoms Of Amalur: Re-Reckoning and Mortal Shell
  8. Some pretty great deals in here. https://wegotthiscovered.com/gaming/playstation-store-sale-slashes-hundreds-big-ps4-games-insanely-cheap-prices/
  9. I have really fond memories of playing this game when I was younger and I was just wondering if anyone else remembers it? It's a strategy/action hybrid where you build your own village and its defenses to defend against these little gremlin monster thingies - the titular horde - who attack your town and devour your villagers. It's a really cool game and I really wish there was a remake/remaster for modern hardware. Either that, or some kind of spiritual successor. I can't think of many games implementing the same mechanics as The Horde. I think it was really ahead of its time tbh. I mean Cryst
  10. Even though I didn't like some aspects of the story, I still feel like it's a special game that tries its best to make you think. Probably not quite as monumental as the original (TLOU1 is one of my favourite games) but still an amazing experience that is easily one of the best games of the generation imho.
  11. Mortal Shell and COD: Infinite Warfare
  12. Who else is excited about this news? Really great to see Ninety finally leaning into the classic Mario games of yore! https://thedeadbeatcritics.com/2020/09/03/nintendo-officially-announces-a-trio-of-super-mario-3d-remasters/
  13. The Peanut Butter Falcon - 9/10
  14. A Call of Duty would be a good pick thanks to the amount of content included - campaign, MP, zombies. But I'd either choose FTL: Faster Than Light for its replayability, or maybe PixelJunk Monsters for its couch coop.
  15. Mortal Shell, Fall Guys and Cuphead
  16. On a budget? Check out these free to play, or free to own, video games that'll tide you over this weekend. Will you be downloading any? https://wegotthiscovered.com/gaming/15-xbox-ps4-pc-games-free-play-weekend/ Moderator Edit: Topic moved to "Video Game Deals" Sub-Forum.
  17. Love the aesthetic of this game. Really neat artstyle. Can see myself playing through this game with my daughter when it comes out.
  18. Usually have multiple controllers for couch coop/multiplayer. Currently have 3 controllers for my PS4 and 2 controllers for my PS3. Oh, and 2 controllers for my Switch (which is the default joycons lol)
  19. Modern Warfare: Warzone, Fallout 4 and Fall Guys
  20. Thanks @AndreiMirfi, I nominate @AndreiMirfi
  21. Many folks loved it, but I really didn't like Remedy's Control. Thought it was a really big disappointment. So bland, boring and laborious. Felt a pain to play. Even wrote about it a few times. https://wegotthiscovered.com/gaming/control-review/ https://thedeadbeatcritics.com/2019/10/12/control-sure-is-pretty-but-its-also-incredibly-boring-and-tedious/
  22. This game looks cool! Supergiant games is a really talented developer -- gonna keep my eye out for this one!
  23. I'm so into video games, I'd find it very hard to skip a generation. Back in the day, when I was a kid, I skipped the PS1 generation as I didn't have the money to buy one. Now, I always make sure to buy a console every gen, especially as my job relies on it.
