  1. I haven't personally, no, but I know of people who have. Several things can make video games addictive. Some factors include a person's vulnerability to addiction, any existing psychological issues they may have, the way the game is designed (like how it rewards players or encourages social interaction), and whether there are online multiplayer options available. These factors can contribute to making some people more likely to develop an addiction to video games.
  2. Plan for the upcoming weekend is to mostly relax, spend time with loved ones, and possibility enjoy the weather if UK weather allows this. I might squeeze in a movie at the Cinema, depending on how much time is available. What about you?
  3. Same as the previous poster, I am not aware than I am allergic to any foods or drinks. I can't eat spicy foods but this is mostly because my tounge feels like it's on fire which would result in me screaming and making a fool of myself in public. I know there are common food allergies like nuts for example, and most schools will ban children bringing in anything with nuts incase it sets of another child.
  4. I don't regularly go to the gym. I was regularly paying for a Gym membership and visiting the local one to get some running in, to improve my stamina for a upcoming fitness test for my job. However, due to mitigating circumstances I ceased and desisted gym activities. It's harder to get going again, than it is to continue or keep up a certain level of fitness. This isn't to say I don't enjoy going out for the occasional walk, though.
  5. I was following the weather events that were taking place in Greece not to long ago. Mainly because I am due to fly out to Rhodes on the 30th of September, in preparation for my 23rd Birthday to spend in the warm sunny weather. It's funny, as us British haven't had much of a summer. Yet we moan about it being colder than usual for this time of year, while other places are spreading wildfire. Guess we should count ourselves lucky in this regard that mother nature hasn't chosen the UK yet.
  6. Many professional gamers have the opportunity to earn a significant income, ranging from a few thousand dollars to several hundred thousand dollars or even more in a year. However, it depends on a number of factors. This includes the experience and popularity of the pro gamer.
  7. I have never attended an esports event in person. With this being said, I have watched events live on Twitch.TV, YouTube and on Television of live esports taking place. I remember watching one Fortnite match where a player was caught cheating resulting in him becoming immediately disqualified. I think he accidentally leaked his cheats portal on live stream. OOps!
  8. Rocket League and Fortnite are two good video games that you can start with, to master e-sports. Just like anything in life, it takes time to become good. Rocket League is a special game that combines soccer and racing. It is known for its mechanics that are simple to understand and its gameplay that is fast-paced. And Fortnite on the otherhand? Well, who hasn't heard of this game
  9. No, I do not think they are underpaid. Some things that can affect how much money esports players make include how popular the game they play is, how tough the competition is, whether they have sponsors on their team, how skilled they are individually, and how well the whole industry is doing. However, there be occasions where employees are underpaid due to discrimination or how they choose to identify for example.
  10. When things don't go well in a game and you miss your shots, take a moment to think about what might have gone wrong. By reflecting on your mistakes, you can figure out which areas you need to work on and come up with strategies to overcome those challenges. This way, you can grow and become better at the game. Practice makes perfect at the end of the day - I've played many Battle Royale and FPS games, it just takes time!
  11. It's natural to feel frustrated when you lose in a game, but it's important to keep in mind that the purpose of games is to have fun regardless of the outcome. Instead of dwelling on the loss, try to focus on enjoying the experience and learning from each game. This can enhance your overall gaming experience and make it more enjoyable.
  12. Cheating while playing games not only ruins the gaming experience for others, but you are not improving your skillset if your letting AI do the work for you. I would suggest to approach games with integrity, embracing them for their intended experience. I have seen competitive players get terminated and even legal action taken against them for cheating live on stream too. Something to avoid big time.
  13. Good question. Nobody can really predict the future. Artificial intelligence has already left an mark on the gaming industry. As we look ahead, there is immense potential for AI to further elevate gaming experiences, cater to specific individual player needs, and even generate game worlds from a simple request, like we see when using ChatGPT or another AI writing assistant. Of course AI wouldn't replace the human experience, but part of me deep down thinks we are already living in a simulation and everything we are seeing around us is the simulation evolving.
  14. In video games, swimming underwater is a wonderful experience. It allows players to appreciate the peaceful and beautiful underwater settings, while also facing interesting obstacles and enjoying the sensation of gracefully moving through water. However, this isn't always the case. Some of the video games I've played, without naming specific titles, have really poor graphics. Another big issue with swimming underwater in video games is when you swim "of the map" each title has it's own way of unrealistically killing you. Like being eaten by the shark in GTA 5, rather than just teleporting you back.
  15. Baldur's Gate 3 is a game that like myself, many fans of the series and RPG enthusiasts are eagerly looking forward to. I'm sure that many are excited about the opportunity to play the next series of the Baldur's Gate on Xbox. RPG isn't my favorites' niche, I'm more of a Battle Royale person but still love to see what new video games have to offer. Thank you for the insight into the title too, Shortie.
  16. Many players would love to see more levels added to Fall Guys. Having a wider range of challenges and environments would keep the game exciting and prevent it from feeling repetitive. It would also be great to have more options for customizing characters, like new outfits and cosmetic items. This would allow players to express their individuality and make their in-game avatar feel even more unique.
  17. I was referred by Daniel from Admin Junkies. Quite some time now I have been looking for a community with like minded people and I think VGR Forums is the place to be for gamers. I look forward to posting around the forum and meeting some familiar faces.
  18. Prior to reading this topic, I never actually had the understanding that Netflix offers games. I remember playing one with Netflix, called Bear Grylls Survival. I am unsure whether that series game is still on the streaming service but definitely going to take a dive into the titles they have most recently added. Thank you for sharing this.
  19. Good question! I have played multiple video games, and the majority are encouraging. Choosing only one, it would be "Animal Crossing: New Horizons". It lets players build their own dream island. It's a game that brings a sense of achievement and satisfaction as players watch their virtual paradise flourish.
  20. You can find great video game deals at popular online stores like Amazon, Best Buy, and Walmart. They often have competitive prices and offer frequent sales on video games. If you prefer digital downloads, websites like Steam, Epic Games Store, and GOG also provide excellent deals on games. Additionally, don't forget to explore gaming forums like VGR Forums and social media groups where fellow gamers often share valuable information about discounts and promotions. Does anyone else here have any tips that have not been mentioned above for finding great video game deals?
  21. Choosing the perfect TV size for gaming depends on a few important factors, including what you personally prefer, how far away you like to sit from the screen, and the amount of space you have available. My television is 47 inch, which is the largest that space allows. What's the minimum size required for video gaming, or is there no set minimum size to be able to play video games?
  22. Building relationships through gaming is not limited by gender and can happen with girlfriends, just as it does with any other type of partner. Many couples find joy and connection by playing video games together, creating a space for bonding, shared interests, and fun. On the flip side of the coin, gaming relationships can be distracting and many couples could break up from arguments over specific things relating to gaming as a whole. Have you ever developed a relationship in real life with a gamer, that is now or was your partner?
  23. When you play games that need a lot of processing power, such as games with high-quality graphics, your phone's CPU and GPU have to work extra hard. This can make your phone get warmer because more heat is generated. If your phone doesn't have a good cooling system or if there isn't enough air circulation around it, the heat can build up and cause your phone to overheat. It's important to take breaks while gaming and make sure that your phone has enough ventilation to help prevent it from overheating. Have you had problems with mobile phones overheating?
  24. How much time should children be allowed to play video games? Does age or maturity factor in how much should be allowed? Can this ultimately lead to an addiction and distract children from passing their exams during school or college? Let us know below, what you feel the ideal amount of time should be.
  25. The most that I've ever spent on a video game, was on my Nintendo Wii console. The video game in question was Skylanders. With the portal and three characters, it came to £50.00 and for every additional character it was £10.00. The problem was to unlock the next chapter, you needed a new character so this is the way the company was making loads of money.
