I’m not really a huge Christmas gift receiver now. I think that a lot of businesses profit from this time of year which is wrong to some extent as they forgot the real reason for Christmas. What really matters is getting together, spending time with those you love most.

Do you trust social media for video game rumours?
Bizdustry replied to Shortie's topic in Gaming Forum
Not really. Unless they can get a verified insider source, from an employee I wouldn’t believe any rumours online. Most likely made up for the views as nobody can predict the future- 26 replies

Interesting to watch! Love horror stories, but some of them; like the ones in the above in the video give me the chills/ shivers! Guess it’s all part of the fun in gaming. I do hate when playing if something or someone suddenly jumps out on you

Do you have any favourite video game YouTubers?
Bizdustry replied to Shortie's topic in Gaming Forum
Surprised that I’m the first to respond to this. Don’t have a favourite but I do enjoy watching NickEh30, his Fortnite content is by far one of my favourite battle royale niches to watch. So hard to pick one tho!- 6 replies

Graphics in video games are important in this era. However, there’s nothing stopping me going back to play retro games which I do regularly. There’s something about the simplicity in graphics in that era that sparks my enjoyment on games

Video games is effective in improving hand-eye coordination.
Bizdustry replied to Kennysplash's topic in Gaming Forum
I completely agree. There’s been many studies and research into this! And, gaming can even improve reaction time which may benefit you later on in life if you want to start driving a car or motorcycle for example. -
Can playing video games be a form of therapy?
Bizdustry replied to Kennysplash's topic in Gaming Forum
Definitely! Some of the older titles I played like Wii Fit on Nintendo, allowed you to keep active and even play duo sports with a friend or family member. This was a form of therapy for me. But, no video game is not therapeutic, it depends on the individual -
I think you’ll know if you develop a video game addiction. Some of the ‘symptoms’ might be physical such as RSI, Headaches or spine problems, while other types may lead to obesity. Besides this, if you find yourself drawing away from work/school or socialising, then you’ve got an issue. All about self control and finding a balance

Good question. Honestly, it’s tricky to say because as an adult I have less time to dedicate to gaming with more of my time that is needed on work related tasks etc. However I’d probably say my favourite will change when Rockstar finally release GTA 6

How entertainment affects your pets
Bizdustry replied to Reality vs Adventure's topic in Technology & Gadgets
I am not sure how entertainment affects pets. I am sure studies have been taken on this subject, but perhaps if you are watching other dogs, cats or animals on the TV they may hear the noise and express interest in what's happening. Sometimes the noise can be too much for their hearing, but I am no expert -
I am using Windows 11. It reminds me a lot of using Windows 7, but a more modern feel to it. Windows 10 took you to a separate "App" homepage, I am not sure why Windows abandoned this on Wins 11 but I've got used to it now. I do wonder when Windows 12 is coming.

I am not sure how much bigger cellphones are going to get. Surely, designers are going to stop increasing the size because of how practical it is. They barely fit inside my pocket now, let alone being any larger. It's hard to predict the future of smart phones.

Not for me. I do use Movavi on Windows and I use the program a lot for video editing and it works like a charm. There are many different effects on the Movavi software that you can use while editing a video. Most of my editing is done for YouTube.

Which apps do you use on a daily basis?
Bizdustry replied to aerodynamik's topic in Technology & Gadgets
I use Safari, Gmail, Maps, and a few others. It really depends on the day to what Apps I use, but these are the basics that I will require to use on most days. Again, I do use Health App on Apple too. -
Sometimes the keyboard doesn't type the right characters, other times it's fine. I wouldn't put my keys in the dishwasher as one of the previous posters has already mentioned. I would probably clean the service and that would be it.

I used to own a iPad Mini at one stage. I remember getting rid of it for two reasons. The screen was cracked and the software would no longer update meaning that I couldn't update or install new Apps due to the applications not being compatible with the version.

My favourite file sharing website would have to be Google Drive. You can upload and even create folders to share folders to everyone or selected persons through a private link, which is a feature I really like. And did I forget to say it's free to use!!

I haven't picked up the iPhone 15 yet. I am concerned about the device overheating and it also seems to be identical to the iPhone 14 Pro Max, the phone I currently have, besides the updated universal charger. It's annoying as the new charger port wasn't apple's idea, it was forced upon them upon the government.

I use Gmail. I have been using Google Workspace for my website (domain) and having the option to have my domain and email account all in one app on Gmail, for my portable devices is great. It's also free to use personally, and costs around 10$ for Workspace per account.

What do you prefer a computer or a mobile phone?
Bizdustry replied to Matan_z's topic in Technology & Gadgets
I prefer using a computer for everyday tasks but using a mobile phone for accessing emails, texts and quick communication would be preferred choice. A phone is easier to use than a Laptop, as you can literally just get it out of your pocket, but with a Laptop it's a bit more noticeable. But, yeah, both are good. -
As I mentioned in my previous post, I do use the built in Health app that is installed on the iPhones when you buy them. If you are like me and keep your phone in your pocket, it will keep track of how many steps you use in any one day. I'd suggest that if you have a apple smart phone.
-
I was using a FitBit but I am now solely relying on using my iPhone which has a built in Health App. It monitors steps you count to flights of stairs you climb, and you can even link an Apple Watch but I haven't yet got one of these. The app is enough for what I need it for.

I prefer using Apple iPhones over android. However, with Android you do have the option of downloading mobile games that are not in the Play Store, called APK's unlike Apple devices which restrict you to the Apple App Store. So, I may have to give Android a try.

I really prefer using Wireless over wired. I always tend to get the wires into a tangle and atleast with wireless, there is no lead that could potentially break or develop a loose connection. Only thing is I'd have to remember to charge it.
