Why are so many of Bethesda’s canine followers so noisy?

Aside from Dogmeat, I think every canine follower I’ve had in Bethesda games is quite noisy. Does anyone else find this irksome?

Personally, I believe it's got something to do with their games. It naturally comes with some kind of noisy touch, so it robs off their followers as well.
