I like short skirts, but I have never been the biggest fan of dresses, despite having a couple. So if clothes are coming my way, and you want in on buying them, then your safest and best way to do it is to hand me a gift card.

I totally agree - partners tend to buy clothing based on their emotional state at the time and they may not like the look of it down the road ( I saw this happen to a friend back in high school). I'd also take the gift card.
