killamch89 Posted August 13, 2021 Posted August 13, 2021 I'd much rather be the only child because at least I'd get almost everything and all my needs would be met for the most part. Having 10 siblings means some of you would definitely be deprived of the love and affection you'd need at that vulnerable stage in your life. Which would you rather?
The Blackangel Posted August 13, 2021 Posted August 13, 2021 I have a brother and a sister, but they were 13 years older and 10 years older than me. So I grew up as an only child anyway. There was no love directed my way. Being an only child doesn't mean anything. Especially being loved.

Perfectly understandable given your situation but majority of the kids I knew who grew up as one was spoiled beyond belief.
