ZandraJoi Posted March 3, 2022 Posted March 3, 2022 Now this movie was right up my alley! A 2012 movie starring Drew Barrymore. It is based on the true story of Operation Breakthrough to save stranded gray whales trapped in pack ice in Alaska (USA). It details the lengths humans went through to save these creatures. I must say, even though I have always been into whales & dolphins, that until this movie came out, I had never heard of this rescue. What did you think of the movie? Would you be willing to volunteer your time to help out? I would if at all possible!
egghead Posted May 2, 2022 Posted May 2, 2022 I don't know this movie, but I am interested in watching moves where animals are involved.
Empire Posted May 15, 2022 Posted May 15, 2022 really enjoyed "Big Miracle." Of course, Drew Barrymore is fun to watch, and the story is heartwarming. For me, the big attraction is that it's based on a true story, which I read the history of. Of course, in the movie, there are personal-interest subplots that are fiction. But the main events in the movie regarding freeing the whales are historically accurate.
