What game did you play by chance but turn out to love?

Have you ever played a game by chance but turned out to be great? You know those instances when you really have no intention to get it and play, but happened by chance and now you are hooked.

Absolutely, that happened with *Stardew Valley* for me. Thought it’d be just casual farming, but ended up completely hooked and invested.

That happened to me with Disco Elysium. I picked it up because of a sale and didn't expect much, but the narrative depth and the thought cabinet system blew me away.

I remembered it was Stardew Valley. I got it during a Steam sale and had no idea what it was when I purchased it. It was pixel art, but I immediately fell for it because of the simple gameplay. Now I’ve spent hours farming and fishing.

I think it's Portal. Actually , I received this one as a gift from a friend who believed that I would like the challenges. I was highly doubtful, but the tone of GLaDOS, and unique gameplay convinced me. That became one of my favorite games now.

Hyper Light Drifter was the game. That is a game I found during a gaming convention. The eerie music got me hooked. The gameplay was rather difficult, which I enjoyed as well as the emotional plot.
