The Future of AAA Games: Can the Model be Sustained?

Based on what I discovered, the AAA game development is becoming gradually unsustainable and this is because of the rising costs. The Development costs are really skyrocketing and also, the expectations from the ganers are also extremely high as well.

The industry is really facing crisis right now. I also see the AAA model limiting innovation for the smaller games. Additionally ,the AAA model is restrictive, which is a major setback and as a result of this, innovation is stifled.

you are right about stiffled innovation. Furthermore, the rise of indie games is really giving room for creativity and innovation. I see indie games as the future because it offer a different path for gamers and developers too.

The problem with AAA game studios is that they want to charge premium prices for a mostly subpar experience filled with all kinds of paywalls and lootboxes which is really hurting their sales.

I agree; the AAA model faces challenges. Rising development costs and high player expectations make sustainability difficult, prompting potential shifts in industry practices.
