Do you play demo before buying games?

Demo simply means demonstrations. When it comes to games, there are demos of it that gives a glimpse to players what to expect. 
Do you make decisions based on the demos you play?

When I was much younger, yes. But at this current time, most modern games come with a Beta before its official release so I play that instead.

I make sure to always try to play a demo before buying a game. I do it to give me a hands-on feel for the gameplay, mechanics, and the overall experience.

I read reviews or watch gameplay videos to get a feel of the gameplay. But it's very important to note that the demos are a great way to try before you buy and to avoid costly mistakes.

Yeah while I would agree with you to a certain degree, there is just not much to conclude on in a demo. Even many games that seems so good in demo later end up to be a disappointment.
