killamch89 Posted November 6, 2024 Posted November 6, 2024 With the success of the Switch, do you think Nintendo will stick to hybrid consoles for the foreseeable future? Could we see the company abandoning traditional home consoles or handheld devices in favor of the hybrid model? Or will they eventually return to separate systems for portability and home use?
The Blackangel Posted November 7, 2024 Posted November 7, 2024 I don’t see what other choice they have. The problem with releasing a hybrid console is that there’s nowhere left to go from there. Nintendo has tried pretty much everything in gaming, to the point that it seems nothing is left.

You do have a valid point there. And they do dominate the hybrid console market. I don't know, maybe it's my romanticism with the Gameboy and DS handhelds or the Gamecube and N64 got me wanting a more modern dedicated console or handheld device.
