While not directly pushing for HD, the GameCube's impressive graphics for its time, like in titles such as Metroid Prime and The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker, showcased the potential for higher fidelity visuals in console gaming. Do you think it helped lay the groundwork for the HD era, or was it overshadowed by the PS2 and Xbox?
The Blackangel Posted December 16, 2024 Posted December 16, 2024 Game Cube was DEFINITELY overshadowed by Xbox and PS2. And Wind Waker was not something to be proud of. The game could have had potential, but the cartooney graphics completely ruined it, and left a black mark on not only the entire Zelda franchise, but Nintendo as a whole.
