StaceyPowers Posted January 11, 2025 Posted January 11, 2025 What do you feel is an ideal number of hours for a game, especially an open world game or other longer-form game? When does a game overstay its welcome? Is there a certain number of hours past which you lose patience, or is it more dependent on the content and flow of the game?
killamch89 Posted January 11, 2025 Posted January 11, 2025 It really depends on the quality of the content and the pacing. A 20-hour game with constant variety can feel perfect, while a 100-hour game with a lot of filler might overstay its welcome. For open-world games, I think 40–60 hours is a sweet spot if the exploration feels rewarding.
Scorpion Posted January 12, 2025 Posted January 12, 2025 An ideal game length is around 20-30 hours for open-world titles. It ultimately depends on content quality and pacing.
