killamch89
Castlevania has been a staple of Nintendo systems for years, spanning both consoles and handhelds. Whether you loved the classic platforming action of Super Castlevania IV on the SNES, the challenging Castlevania: Aria of Sorrow on the GBA, or something else entirely, I'd love to hear your favorite entry. What made it stand out to you, and do you have any standout memories from playing it?
Scorpion
Castlevania: Symphony of the Night is my favorite, with its perfect blend of exploration and atmospheric gameplay always.
killamch89
Symphony of the Night usually gets the spotlight, but I'd argue Aria of Sorrow on GBA perfected the formula for handhelds. The soul collection system provided meaningful progression beyond just leveling, Soma's identity created fascinating narrative implications, and the balanced difficulty made it accessible without sacrificing challenge. The Blackangel
I would say SOTN if this was a PlayStation discussion. But being that it's Nintendo, I can easily say Castlevania II Simon's Quest. It's not the easiest game in the Castlevania franchise, but it's absolutely one of the best.
