There is no details on how many employees were let go, but it's surprising considering how well the game is doing at the moment. A game that's this successful, shouldn't see their employees laid off. It's one of the nonsensical and bizarre practice that has been around for quite some time and it just doesn't compute why gaming companies want to shoot themselves in the foot that badly. It raises concerns about the industry's stability and the prioritization of profit over people. Unfortunately, if trends continue, more layoffs may occur even amidst success. It's troubling.
