Difficulty in games: should all games have an "easy mode"?

Something I always remember growing up as a child, is how you would always get easy, medium, and hard levels in games, and in some cases, you would get a level higher than hard you could select. 

Nowadays, as much as some games do have an easy mode, they don't all have an easy mode. 

What are your thoughts? Should all game have an easy mode?

The question assumes 'difficulty' is one-dimensional, when games can implement smarter accessibility options. Rather than just number adjustments, thoughtful assists like invincibility toggles, slow-motion options, or simplified inputs preserve a game's essence while removing specific barriers.

I believe having an "easy mode" can make games more accessible and enjoyable for a wider audience, especially newcomers or casual players. It allows everyone to experience the story and gameplay without frustration, while still offering challenging options for seasoned players.
