How has your gaming taste changed over the years?

Over the year I have noticed that as much as I have played newer games away from my favourite niches, I tend to always go back to the same ones that I know I love and enjoy playing. 

I would say, thinking back to all my years of gaming, my gaming taste has changed slightly with me now enjoying MMO and looter shooter games and I also enjoy battle royale games now too, so to an extent they have changed somewhat. 

How has your gaming taste changed through the years?

Surprisingly, I've come full circle with difficulty preferences. As a teen, I played everything on hard mode to prove myself. In my 20s, I switched to easy mode to enjoy stories. Now in my 30s, I appreciate well-balanced challenges again, but for the satisfaction rather than ego.

Over the years, my gaming taste has evolved from casual arcade games to more immersive story-driven experiences. I now enjoy complex narratives and strategic gameplay. I appreciate quality storytelling and innovative mechanics, which keep me engaged and make gaming more meaningful.
