Is it the couch‑cooperative legend Halo: Combat Evolved, the genre‑defining Gears of War, or perhaps the open‑world freedom of Forza Horizon 4? Has backward compatibility ensured new players can experience it decades later? Will its soundtrack or aesthetic still feel fresh?

I believe "Halo" will stand the test of time because of its innovative gameplay, compelling story, and impact on gaming culture. Its multiplayer experiences and influence on first-person shooters have left a lasting legacy, making it a classic that gamers will continue to enjoy.

Halo for sure on this one with Gears of War being a very close second for me. Halo has been a favourite of many since the release of the very first Halo with many I know now still playing Halo Infinite. 

I can't think of one thing that would make it so that Halo could not stand the test of time.

Halo: Combat Evolved will endure because it established FPS fundamentals that remain relevant decades later. Its weapon balance, enemy AI variety, and sandbox-style combat encounters created a template that modern shooters still reference. The fact that players return to its campaigns despite dated graphics speaks to the timelessness of its core design principles.
